Honestly, running a social media campaign is hectic. You have to juggle creating new content constantly, posting consistently, and collaborating with influencers, photographers, videographers, employees, etc. It can be a lot to handle, and things can fall through the cracks- including forgetting to include certain social media platforms. With over 800 active users, you don’t want to forget LinkedIn.

Here are 4 tips to include LinkedIn in your social media campaign as a small business.

Update The Company Page

You don’t want a company LinkedIn page that’s incomplete, full of typos, or simply unimpressive. Customers, potential customers, potential business partners, even potential employees, will visit your company LinkedIn page. How do you make sure that it’s up-to-date, accurate, and engaging?

Update your “About Us” with recent information on impressive work, and recent news about your company such as awards, new product releases, or expansion into new markets. Incorporate keyword phrases and hashtags in this section as much as possible.

Add a professional-looking cover photo of your company, employees, products, or even clients. If you work in a senior living facility, for instance, a picture of happy seniors may reassure other interested seniors.

Also, if you haven’t already, add a link to your company website.

Post Engaging Stories And Updates

After updating your company page, you should regularly post interesting stories and updates. Your connections will see these posts in their newsfeeds, and if they’re engaging they may even share them with their own networks.

So what makes a good story or update? It could be something newsworthy that’s happening at your company; like the launch and campaign of a new product or service. Or, it could be an industry trend you’re noticing or even just a helpful tip related to your business.

Whatever you post, make sure it’s related to the purpose of your marketing campaign, and relevant to your target audience.

Get Involved In Groups

There are a lot of LinkedIn groups out there with different purposes. Some are for networking, some are for small business owners, some are just for fun – so chances are there’s a group (or 10) that you can join to help you achieve your marketing goals.

For example, part of your marketing campaign could be joining groups that include your target audience to gauge the latest trends and preferences.

Purchase Ads

Just like on other social media platforms, you can also purchase ads on LinkedIn. LinkedIn offers a few different ad types, including text ads, sponsored content, and video ads. You can target your ads to people based on their location, job title, company size, or other factors.

Purchasing ads is an effective way to reach a larger audience on LinkedIn for a marketing campaign.

Don’t forget to include LinkedIn in your social media campaign! It’s a great platform with a lot of potential, and there are many different ways you can use it to reach your target audience. By updating your company page, posting engaging stories and news, joining groups, and purchasing ads, you can make LinkedIn work for you and your business.
